Siem Reap Apsara dance performance photo back to CAMBODIA gallery
The Apsara dancers were the traditional 'heavenly nymphs' who performed for the rulers of Angkor, going back 1000 years. There are stone reliefs of them carved all over the facades of most every major building in the Angkor ruins. In Siem Reap, one can attend exquisitely costumed performances which feature the traditional Apsara movements.
