Some of my favorite images show common people, in common jobs, exuding an uncommon nobility. The Sandblaster image from my Panama gallery is one such photo. So is this one. A shoeshiner in Campechuela takes a break from his toil to show me the inky mess he has to scrub off his hands every night.
