When Castro finally dies oneday, likely 20 years from now, it is said the succession of power will pass to his younger brother Raul, a more hardline proponent of Cuban Communism, but much less popular with the people than Fidel. Many people I spoke to seemed to intimate that this would be just too much for Cubans to handle, and the younger generation - the college students - the politically passionate - would rise up and throw off the Communist fetters. A great many people were eager to tell me their stories and opinions, but only once we were inside their houses with the windows closed, lest a neighbor or passer-by eavesdrop and get them blacklisted.
