To me this is the Haitian equivalent of endless Saturdays I spent growing up. Mom was making fresh squeezed juice by hand with the radio on and talking to the neighbors as they walked by the house. Teenage son was doing his math homework, pencil on paper, on the hood of the pickup truck he drives as a taxi part of the week. And daughter was hanging up the laundry she'd just helped wash by hand. The town was waking up, people were in a good mood, the tunes were jammin', and everybody was being productive on a typical Saturday.
