Sometimes I get cocky. Like in terms of mountains I think are climbable in the dead of winter in a snowstorm, for example. I so desperately wanted to summit Mt. Fuji, but perhaps March isn't the optimum month. I drove as high as I could on the mountain, wantonly disbelieving the report from the Visitor's Center, and when I hit the 5 foot snowdrifts and 50 mile-per-hour winds, I admitted defeat. But at least on the drive down I discovered this somewhat zen still life of a traffic mirror covered in rain, with mist and trees.
