return to Tibet gallery

Anyone who knows me knows morning are not my forte. But I will happily sacrifice sleep for a sunrise shot of a world-famous icon. I had the Dalai Lama's Potala Palace framed just the way I wanted it when the local butcher on his bike cart walked through my frame with a devil's tower of freshly sliced pig loins. I love the contrast - the sacred and the profane. The ethereal and the carnal. Buddhism - the other white meat.
