On Saturday, at the Public Library's Jacome Plaza, a procession of Little Angels with freshly painted faces circumambulated the block at dusk. Near the center of the circle stood lines of makeshift memorials to the recently departed; colorful, life-affirming, whimsical displays of affection. This particular montage stood toward the front and had scores of black and white photos of a precocious fairy princess who obviously loved having her picture taken. Her name was Adelita Lizzette Camacho-Bedoy; so enamoured, was she, of Tim Burton's movie "The Corpse Bride" that she fashioned herself as the Corpse Fairy last Halloween and had about 2 million pictures taken in her costume at Target. Tragically, three months later, she was accidentally run over by a car in the driveway, and the family wanted to remember her as the mischievous and spunky little pixie she was. One of her fairy snaps became the icon for the Little Angels and was projected dramatically on the side of the building all night.
